Environment day; climatologist tasked industry, Company & refinery owners in African on mandatory trees planting and reduce polluting the atmosphere.

As the world celebrate international environment day, an appealed has been made to all companies, refinaries and industries on the importance of committing them serves into annually trees planting Campaign, so as to support Government, local and international NGO & CSOs on the daily fight against Climate change, desertification, and all forms of environmental challenges .

The called was made by the assistant Director Dr piman Hoffman of African climate reporters to mark this year environment day with the theme ”Beat Air pollution”

He said,the participation of all African countries refinery in trees planting campaign would help toward reducting the large quantity of emission in the atmosphere that affecting lives of both human and animals ,adding that there is the need for All African leaders to enact a law which is aimed at tracking refinery, textile company and industries emission,

He further said, African union AU must encourage industries and companies in participating in all project related to trees planting campaign in all African Nation and to support the project of great green world GGW

It was reported that Every year, approximately seven million people die prematurely due to air pollution and Around four million deaths occur in Asia-Pacific.

Hoffman say Air pollution is number African silent killer that keep claiming lives of citizens
He further stressed that there are 6 common pollutants apart from release of emission from companies and industries which include ozone, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, lead, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter.

It must ne noted that ,world Environment Day is a campaign established to bring some positive environmental changes all over the world to make life better and more natural. Environmental issues are big issues now-a-days to which everyone must be aware and give their positive efforts to solve such issues.

The world has already begun to see the repercussions of climate change through increases in natural disasters, extreme weather events, and shifting ecosystem characteristics

African climate reporters therefore called on every stake holders to support in raising awareness as the world celebrate environment day today
